Family Album

  • Gavin, my man for 21 years…always patient and supportive of my art …he is very stable, clever, a perfectionist and maths minded, a computer geek, so opposite to me…I guess we compliment, sometimes I feel like we are 2 circles off wildly spinning that keep missing, but occassionally we bump into each other and its great, and you remember how comfortable he is and why you love him, witnessing each others lives.
  • Ineka, my darling daughter - created her first quilts at age 6. She is such an angel and such a joy, she is my shadow and my leader. At age 4 my daughter had never seen me sew…nor had I but she had often seen me painting. One afternoon, end of Autumn, driving west towards an awesome sunset of glowing oranges, pinks and reds streaked with purple and blue clouds, from the back seat, she said…”Da sky is so pretty mummy, did you paint that?. (I can hear you sigh from here.)
